Grayson Update

First of all Tiffany and i would like to say thanks to everyone for their support and love. We know it was a last minute thing and tough on a Sunday. Thanks for the visits the prayers and especially the help with the kids (Kandyse) Today started a little rough, but Grayson was pretty stable but not allowed to change much medication from yesterday. Then the critical care doctor came in Dr. Moon. The first thing she said was that he could breathe on his own. She adjusted the medicine from Morphine and Versed to Precedex. The difference being that versed takes a long time to wear off and Precedex wears off quicker. She took him off the morphine and versed and he was okay; but as he progressed he had a couple episodes of apnea and when the nurse would touch him he would react negatively. At around 3:00 Dr. Moon came in and had everything ready to excabate him. When she pulled the tube out he was fussy and a little congested, but he was doing alright. As the rest of the morphine wore off, he still had some episodes of no breathing, but his heart rate was usually in a good range.
Now at 5:00 pm he is resting comfortably and breathing with a little bit of congestion, but he is doing well. Tiff and I are glad that we have our family support and that we know Heavenly Father is watching over us and especially our children. We are glad that he has blessed us with three miracle babies and we would not trade any of you, so don't ask....I am heading back to school tomorrow and then we go back to Primary Children's for Trey's eye appointment. That one will be about 4 hours.....WHEW!!
Tiff and I have become close with the family from Alabama...Brennen their little boy is still on an IV and Reagan is going in for surgery today to put a tracheotomy in her throat. We hope and pray that all goes well with that and for Brennen. We are going to take him outside for awhile during the surgery so Alan and Jeriann can be with her when they are done with her surgery.
