Grayson Update from Feb.

The latest from the Provo McEvoy's is that it is the middle of basketball season and we are hanging on and surviving one day at a time. Grayson just was moved up to 4 bottles a day. Each bottle has 38 cc. in it and he has good sucking action. His bottle he is able to finish in a little over 5 minutes. The other feedings are spread over an hour and half, so he is not happy about how slowly the milk comes when he does not have his bottle. He is reached the 5 pound mark last night, but lost some weight today. On Friday we found out from the surgeon that they are concerned about his lack of weight gain. He wants Grayson to stay in the hospital until he reaches over 6 and a half pounds and they will do the surgery before he can go home. So, it looks like he will be in the hospital another month to a month and a half. We are so glad to be this close to the hospital and one of us is able to get there everyday. Lainey is doing well in school and is excelling. She loves to read and draw and especially teach school to her younger brothers or to her imaginary students at our house. Trey has a new idea that a day cannot go by without playing the Wii. He loves to box and to play tennis. The only problem is he thinks that everything else is not as fun as playing the Wii. He did not want to go to school this morning, Tiff placed him on the bus and he screamed and threw a fit. Tiff finally took him to school and snuck out. He likes to play with Lainey and wrestle with Dad and Porter. He wants to walk everywhere and even when it is snowy and slippery, he thinks he can walk. Porter is climbing and running all over the house. If we leave the front door unbolted, he will escape and wander out in the cold and the snow.
We have a small Play hoop and he loves to climb on the couch and shoot. He will turn two this month and we are in the advanced stages of the terrible twos. We want to thank you for all your prayers and support. Keep in touch and we will see you soon.

Love, Jim, Tiff and kids

Thanks for the update, guys. Another month or more seems like a long time, but bringing home a 6# baby should make for more secure feelings all the way around. Love to all of you.
