Miracle of Miracles

Here is Grayson Jack McEvoy. He came early to this world to bring fun, games and joy to Tiffany, Jim and his brothers and sisters.

Grayson was born Saturday, November 3rd, and he weighed 1 lb 8 oz. To witness the miracles of medicine and the creation of life are mind boggling. This little fellow was only 25 weeks into the pregnancy, when he had to be born. Yet the way in which Heavenly Father allows these you fetuses to be able to handle the real world is amazing.

He is longer than my hand when stretched out, but would fit inside my hand when curled up sleeping.

The nurses in the NICU told me that his skin is good. They were measuring his color and the transparency of the skin. They wear special gloves, to avoid having his skin come off when touched by other skin. His blood pressure was good, even though he is attached to a ventilator, to assist his small, and yet complete lungs.

Today is Tuesday, Nov 13th, and he is recovering from an operation to close a hole in his heart. The operation was performed in Ogden, and today,it is expected that he will return to Provo for the next 10-12 weeks in an isolet.

We look forward to following his growth and progress, expecting some challenges along the way. He may be the best valentine his mommy receives when he comes home early next year.
